- Trees can be a source of tension between neighbours.
- Communicating with your neighbours beforehand is courteous and constructive, as noise and disruption is likely to affect them.
- Access to their property may be required during the clean-up process.
- Have an agreement with them beforehand to communicate with you by telephone if any concerns develop during the service.
- They are not to communicate with the crew.
- It is very dangerous for workers to be distracted and worker safety is the foremost priority.
Prepare the Fall-Zone Taking Steps to Secure the Area Around the Tree
- Inspect your property for obstructions.
- Ensure that nothing is in the area that can be damaged by performing a visual inspection.
- Remove obstacles such as outdoor furniture, potted plants
- Protect fences and gates by covering them from being scratched by falling branches and debris removal.
- Cover nearby shrubs and flowers.
- Cut your grass as short as possible. Tall Grass will significantly slow-down the cleanup process, and make it harder for the workers to do a proper cleanup.
On the Day of Service
- Stay Away from Work Zone. Falling branches can cause serious injury or death.
- Do not distract work crew.
- Do not let your children or pets outside in the work area
